What is numismatic

Numismatics Numismatics is the study and collection of currency that includes coins, tokens, medals, paper currency and other numismatic related objects .     Notaphily   Notaphily is a branch of numismatics that deals with the study and collection of paper money (currency)   Subfields of Numismatics Exonumia (Collecting "Almost" Coins)  This is the hobby of collecting coin-like items that aren't real money. Think about it: Tokens you use at a gaming arcade or a car wash. Medals you win at a sports competition. Souvenir coins you buy at a museum or a tourist spot. Casino chips. Basically, if it looks and feels like a coin but you can't use it to buy things at a regular shop, it's part of Exonumia.
